My Three favorite Gluten-Free Lotions
As you probably already know,I have Celiac Disease and I look at ingredients carefully. There are so many types of lotions that I could write about, however, I have focused on my three favorite brands of lotion. All these brands have a wonderful scent but not a scent that overpowers the room. All these lotions absorb and moisturize well. Let's get into why these are my favorite lotions.
I am a huge fan of Deep Steep. I stumbled upon this company in 2020. It's a very clean brand and has wonderful scent choices. Deep Steep has a variety of hand creams and travel size options. At age 45, I started seeing more crepey skin on my hands and this stuff has been a miracle worker. It moisturizes very quickly, does not leave any sticky residue. I have the Lilac Blossom sitting on my night stand right now. I use this lotion every night and the Lilac Blossom scent is so wonderful to fall asleep to. Maybe it's because Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers. I have also given this brand of lotion as gifts because there are so many delicious scents. I also appreciate that Deep Steep focuses on sustainability, diversity, and inclusion.
Andalou Naturals Body Butter $10.99
I have used this Andalou lotion for years. Andalou naturals was one of the first lotions I used after being diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2016. Andalou has some wonderful scents and options. I feel like the scent leaves pretty quickly once applied to the skin, but it's very moisturizing, thick, and absorbs well. The "1000 Roses" scent is by far my favorite in the Andalou Natuals Body Butter. I would rub my face in this lotion if it meant I could smell the roses all day long!
Dessert Essence Hand & Body Lotion $9.80
If you LOVE Chai you will LOVE this scent! This lotion is Certified Organic to NSF Organic Standard and is a very clean brand. The Desert Essence Hand and Body Lotion absorbs and moisturizes well. This lotion does not leave residue or that sticky feeling like you left something on your hands. I really love it and recommend it!
You really can't go wrong with any of these loctions. I have tried lots of lotions out on the market and these are by far my favorite gluten-free lotions. I am sure there are many more I need to try. I hope I can take some of the guess work out of finding new products as you move forward in your Celiac journey! I know how hard it can be to have your life altered. Just know that you will become healthier as you move forward!
